Entry recommendations

  • a careful approach to safety on site

What will you learn?

You learn the three main settings where the work happens, below ground level, internal wet areas such as bathrooms and laundries, and external above-ground areas like balconies and decks, along with how to find and fix waterproofing that has already failed. The general construction units sit alongside the specialist ones, so you cover safe work practices, workplace communication and planning your own jobs. There are no entry requirements, though anyone doing construction work in Australia also needs general construction induction training, commonly called the White Card, before starting on site.
