What will you learn?
Students learn to assess a site, prepare and level the subfloor, apply moisture barriers and coatings, then lay and finish the flooring material to a professional standard. Alongside the practical work, the course covers measuring and calculating quantities, planning and costing jobs, reading work documents and communicating with clients and other trades. It suits people who want a trade level role on building sites and renovation projects, and it is usually how existing workers formalise skills they have picked up on the job.
