Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.

- a careful approach to safety on site
- good planning and organising skills
- an eye for reading plans and specifications
What will you learn?
The work covers both in-ground and above-ground pools, along with the planning side of the job: reading plans, estimating costs, ordering materials and scheduling labour so a build runs to time. Safety runs through the whole qualification, and you also cover how to store materials and cut waste on site. Before you can work on a construction site you will need the general construction induction training, commonly called the White Card.

Units of competency (8 core, 10 elective)
