Six short questions about what you're aiming for and how you want to study. You get real qualifications back, with how long they take, who teaches them in your state and what the jobs they lead to pay.
Questions people ask
- What does the course finder match on?
- Three answers decide which qualifications can appear at all: the job, field or area you pick, your state or territory (at least one provider we list has to teach it there), and whether you hold a degree, since graduate certificates and diplomas need one. The rest only change the order: how much time you have against the qualification's typical length, how you want to study, and whether a subsidised TAFE place matters.
- Is anything I answer stored?
- No. The matching runs in your browser and there's no account or form. Your answers stay in this tab so a refresh doesn't lose them, and they're gone when you close it. We only count how many people start and finish, and which results get clicked.
- Are the results influenced by course providers?
- No. No provider pays to appear or to rank higher, and the finder doesn't recommend providers at all. It narrows the qualifications, and each result links to the qualification's own page, where every provider we list is shown side by side.
- How complete is the data?
- Every qualification comes from the national training register or Course Seeker, and providers are the ones listed on each qualification page. Study mode and fees are recorded for some providers only, mostly TAFEs and universities, so a missing badge means we hold no record, not that the option doesn't exist. Typical lengths come from the qualification's own data where it has one, and otherwise from the usual length for its level.
- What if nothing fits?
- The finder tells you which answer removed every result, usually the state, and offers to drop it. You can also change any answer and run it again, or browse every subject in the course directory.
