Entry recommendations

To be prepared for this course, it helps to have:

  • an interest in property and how ownership changes hands
  • care with paperwork, figures and legal detail
  • clear communication with clients and other parties
  • an orderly approach to managing several transactions at once

What will you learn?

You learn to read contracts and title searches, prepare the documents a transaction needs, and keep trust accounting and tax obligations in order. Because conveyancing is licensed and the rules differ between states and territories, the course also covers the legal requirements you must work within. It includes the team leadership and practice management side of the job, which matters if you go on to run an office as a licensed conveyancer or settlement agent.
