- a careful approach to following rules and checking details
- good communication skills for dealing with customers and disputes
- confidence to make decisions and stand by them
What will you learn?
You learn how to assess whether an applicant can repay, what security to take, and how to chase an account that has fallen behind without losing the customer. There is also a strong compliance thread: disputes, privacy and responsible lending rules run through everything, so you learn to make decisions that hold up if they are questioned. It suits someone already working in accounts, collections or customer service who wants to take on the credit decisions rather than just pass them along.
- Assessing credit applications
- Setting security for loans
- Managing overdue accounts
- Resolving credit disputes
- Working within compliance rules
