What will you learn?

You learn to plan and run the day to day operations of an aquaculture enterprise, with a strong focus on keeping the business environmentally sustainable and meeting the legislation and regulations that apply to it. A large part of the study is biosecurity: working out the risks to stock, writing a plan to manage them, and putting it into practice. It suits someone who is comfortable with the science behind fish or shellfish production and wants to take on responsibility for planning, compliance and the direction of an operation rather than just the hands on work.
